April already… I’m not sure when that happened, but here we are. It’s my birthday month, which always sneaks up on me a little faster every year. And to really keep me grounded, my son Giannis is starting preschool. Preschool! I swear it feels like we were just bringing him home. Time is flying, that’s for sure, but it’s also a good reminder to slow down when I can, appreciate where I’m at, and stay focused on what really matters.
On the creative side, I’ve been deep in the process of finishing Issue #1 of Saints of the Night. This project has been pushing me in all the right ways. The story came to me first, and over the past few years the art has been catching up and evolving into something I’m really proud of. At the same time, I’m learning just how different it is to bring a comic book to life compared to a novel like The Path of Kingdoms. There’s a whole new set of skills involved, from structuring panels to production logistics, and I’m learning more every day as I work to get this first issue across the finish line.
More than anything, I feel blessed to keep doing what I love, art, storytelling, and connecting with all of you. If you’ve been following the journey, thank you. If you’re new, welcome. Either way, stick around. There’s a lot more coming. Let’s keep creating, keep supporting each other, and keep building something amazing.
